5 Things That Always Make My Day Better

Hey guys! This is my FIRST blog post ever! Ahh!

Life is pretty hectic with everything that is going on in our lives. I decided that I would make a post on 5 things that ALWAYS make my day better, even if I am having a pretty bad day (we all have those days, right?

1. My husband
This one is pretty obvious to most people. My husband is my best friend, basically, my only friend who is there for me through everything. He cheers me every day and motivates me to be a better person. I don’t even have to tell him when I am upset because he can just sense it.

2.Daily affirmations
These are EXTREMELY big in my daily routine. I tell myself every morning that “I am worthy,” “I am successful,” “I work hard,” “I am amazing, incredible, and awesome.” Seriously, if you don’t do this every day – tell yourselves these things! You will feel a completely different outlook on your day. I feel so much happier and positive just standing in the mirror and telling myself these things. I noticed if I forget to do this one day, it actually puts a damper on my mood and that’s when negativity starts to kick in! Who has time for negativity in today’s world? Not I!

3. Listen to upbeat music
Music is a big part of my day. I always listen to music whether I am at the gym, getting ready or driving somewhere. I love putting my headphones and just spacing out to music and ignoring what is going on around me. I swear music speaks to you sometimes. I am also a big country fan. What is your favorite music?

4. Exercise
Plain & simple this makes my mood better. I try to get to the gym every day. There are some days that I don’t want to go to the gym or one of my exercise classes but I know as soon as I leave there I am in a better mood than when I walked into the gym!

5. Plan out your goals/to-do list for the day
I need a to-do list to keep me happy! Honestly, the second I don’t have one and I know I have a lot to do for the day, I become so flustered. I think not having a to-do list throws me off much. I usually always carry sticky notes with me and as soon as I have more than 1 thing to do for the day, it gets put on the sticky note.

  1. You guys are so cute! And I love this post! I need to work more on the exercise front, just had a baby and totally lost my groove. But I’m definitely a goal setter/planner and that helps me keep my day on track and feel productive.

  2. I have to agree withe the music. I also like to get a deep breath of fresh air… preferably warm weather air. I love to go outside and soak in the sun light, feel the earth on my feet. Even yard work helps me clear my mind.
